About us

Selfscript is a trading name of Sequel AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16897137, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. These terms are a legal agreement between you and Sequel AI Ltd for use of the Selfscript app and the selfscript.app website.

If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where it conflicts with these terms, Apple's EULA prevails for iOS users.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Selfscript you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The service

Selfscript provides guided mental-rehearsal sessions, goal setting, check-ins and related tools for personal development. It is not a medical device and not a substitute for professional medical, psychological or psychiatric advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you are in crisis or worried about your mental health, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

3. Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in details secure and give accurate information. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account and data).

4. Premium subscriptions and purchases

  • Premium is offered as auto-renewing monthly or annual subscriptions, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Selfscript account does not cancel a subscription.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused part is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app, try to access other users' data, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or use it unlawfully.

6. Your content

You own what you write and record. You give us a limited licence to store and process synced content only to provide the service to you.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its sessions, text and design are owned by Sequel AI Ltd or its licensors. Selfscript is inspired by published ideas on self-image and mental practice; it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any author, estate or foundation.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". Results from mental practice vary and are not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or EU you also keep the protection of mandatory consumer laws where you live.
